Police say man took gargoyles from complex.
A myrtle Beach man was jailed after officers said he stole two gargoyle statues that were mounted in front of an apartment complex, according to a police report.
John Hudson Wilson II, 34 was charged with two counts of petite larceny, two counts of damage to property and driving under suspension third offense, the report shows.
Surveillance cameras from the Pine View Apartments on 201 Chester St. showed a person getting out of a van, breaking the gargoyles off their posts and placing them in his vehicle Monday morning, the report shows.
Wilson was arrested after a traffic stop.
Offers went to his home and found the gargoyles in Wilson's backyard according to the report.
Next time take something a tad more attractive will ya?
Oh and you just might want to see if a very large camera is pointing at you.
